Providence, RI

Piper and I took the bus up to Providence, RI on Veteran's Day weekend to visit her friend Lillian. We had beautiful weather in a very beautiful city.

Brooklyn Bridge Park

We visited Brooklyn Bridge Park with the Nardi family on another gorgeous (and hot!) October weekend. We took a ride on Jane's Carousel, an old refurbished carousel that is now enclosed in a glass house between the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan Bridge. Then it was a picnic lunch and frolicking in the grass.

We took Piper and Marlow to The Atlantic Antic, the largest street fair in Brooklyn that happens the first weekend of October. Aside from the princess bouncy house, Piper's highlight was getting "rainbow swirls" face painting.

Happy Birthday Daddy

Piper insisted that we make Daddy a Muno (Yo Gabba Gabba) cake for his birthday because "that's Daddy's favorite". Not to toot my own horn, but I think we did a pretty good job!

The girls

The girls are doing great. Just a little bit busier with mommy returning to work this month. Piper started pre-school and loves every minute of it. She tells us all about her day and is making many new friends. She recently got her first face painting (as seen below). Marlow is growing like a weed. At her 6 month check-up she weighed 16 lbs. and was 25 inches. She is almost sitting up on her own unassisted and has sprouted 2 little teeth on the bottom. She somehow has even bluer eyes than Piper and spends most of her days being entertained by big sister. We are very lucky.
