More chocolate

This picture was taken after dinner one night. Some pizza and then a few chocolate chips for dessert. As I was putting the chips on her tray, we were counting them, and Piper was stuffing them in her mouth as fast as I was putting them down. After a few moments of chewing and a mouth full of melted chocolate this is how the conversation went:

Piper: "More"
Mommy: "More what?"
Piper: "More chocolate bich."
Mommy: More what!?"
Piper: "MORE CHOCOLATE BICH"
Mommy: "Do you mean more chocolate chips?"
Piper: wide grin

Needless to say, I was by myself so no one else heard. Piper had no idea why there were tears coming out of my eyes as I was laughing so hard. I guess if there were only 1 phrase she had to learn, this one wouldn't be too bad.

Snow day with Mommy (again)!

Another unexpected snow day meant that I got to spend the whole day with Piper. She requested some tutu time in the morning and helped me with some laundry in the afternoon.

Tumbling Class

Piper went to her first organized tumbling class with her little April born friends. It was just a one time thing so far, but for Piper's sake I wish it was weekly. She got to explore padded obstacle courses, the bounce house, mini balance beam, mini parallel bars, and summersaults. She was pegged as the most fearless out of the group. Possibly a good candidate for future gymnastics??!

Sesame Street Live!

I took Piper to see Sesame Street Live at Madison Square Garden this month. Piper got to ride the subway without her stroller for the first time and take her first trip the the Garden. My proudest moment was at the end of the show when Big Bird was sad because he still wasn't sure what he wanted to be when he grew up and Piper looked at me and said, "Don't cry Big Bird, it's okay." Empathy at its best...you aren't born with that. Love you Piper.

NYC Public Schools got another snow day! Twice in two years! Piper and I took a short walk in the falling snow.
